Context Setting
The world of manufacturing is changing and the future is undoubtedly ‘smart’ and ‘digital’. In tandem, the Indian Manufacturing Sector is also progressing in leaps and bounds as companies of all sizes are embracing latest technologies and adapting to rapid advancements, right from additive manufacturing to augmented reality to artificial intelligence.
Industry 4.0 is seen as a journey industrial companies have to undertake towards a complete value chain transformation at the end of which successful companies will become true digital enterprises, with physical products at the core, augmented by digital interfaces and data-based, innovative services. These digital enterprises will work together with customers and suppliers in industrial digital ecosystems. These developments will fundamentally change individual companies as well as transform market dynamics across a whole range of industries. And that is true in countries all around the world—in both developed and emerging markets.
CII CME is organising an Inhouse Training Programme for one of its member companies to assist tem in understanding the technologies involved, with special focus on the tech applications wrt Indian Industry, from 1-3 February 2022.
