Online Programme on Ergonomics at Workplace
Context Setting
To ensure overall well-being, organizations look at
enhancing employee comfort while they work to achieve the greatest level of
efficiency. At the workplace, every physical & thermal aspect is taken into
consideration such as the indoor environment, Infrastructure, work tools,
processes and systems. The branch of science that deals with knowledge of these
parameters to provide a user-friendly environment to employees is known as
Ergonomics. This includes work tools, seating arrangement and all the job
conditions of a workplace.
As many organizations support hybrid working, it is important to consider a home office as it isn't optimized ergonomically and can increase the likelihood of back pain and spinal health issues (stemming from poor posture)
This workshop will develop an eye for detail in understanding the ergonomic risk factors and facilitate the observation of participants to document primary findings in a scientific way.
Objective
Increase
knowledge of ergonomics in order to recognize potential ergonomic problems in
DSE (Display Screen Equipment) work while at the office/home or third space.
The program will explain several common ergonomic risk factors that are easily
identified and recognized in a typical user work arrangement in an office/home
setup. By learning risk factors & principles participant awareness of their
importance will be enhanced and the ability to assist in finding solutions will
improve.
Key Takeaways

Musculoskeletal Disorders)
- Understand evidence-based process/tools for primary documentation of ergonomic risk factors.
- Learn ergonomic principles for DSE work in the office/home.
