Day-1 and 2 : Mr. Anil Bhatia

Mr. Anil Bhatia is a post-graduate in Industrial Engineering and a graduate in Electrical Engineering with over 42 years of extensive experience in the automotive and manufacturing sectors. Throughout his career, he has managed a wide range of responsibilities, with a track record of driving operational excellence and business improvements across several renowned organizations, including:

  • National Productivity Council, New Delhi
  • JK Industries Limited (main JK Tyres plant, Kankroli, Rajasthan)
  • Hero Cycles Limited, Ludhiana
  • JBM (Jai Bharat Maruti) Group, Gurgaon, where he led initiatives in their 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler automotive components manufacturing units as well as the Tooling Division, serving as Head of Business Excellence.

Mr. Bhatia is a certified Lead Auditor for:

  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
  • ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System

He specializes in establishing, implementing, and continuously improving Integrated Management Systems within manufacturing organizations.

Additionally, Mr. Bhatia is a qualified Assessor for the ZED (Zero Defect, Zero Effect) Certification Scheme of the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and is an Accredited Management Teacher, certified by the All India Management Association.

Day-3 : Mr. Rakesh Shrivastava

Mr. Rakesh Srivastava is a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with over 46 years of extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and industrial safety. Having retired as the Deputy Director General of the National Safety Council, he continues to contribute his expertise as a Safety Consultant, providing valuable guidance to organizations in enhancing workplace safety practices.

 

Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Srivastava has specialized in developing and conducting customized, need-based training programs tailored to the requirements of various industries. These programs have been instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and compliance in organizations across multiple sectors.

 

He has also undergone specialized training at the Japan International Centre for Occupational Safety and Health (JICOSH), further enriching his knowledge and skills in global safety practices and standards. His expertise earned him a significant role as a long-time member of the Atomic Energy Regulatory Board’s (AERB) Fatal Accident Investigation Committee, where he contributed to the investigation and analysis of critical safety incidents.

 

With his deep-rooted commitment to industrial safety and decades of hands-on experience, Mr. Srivastava remains a respected figure in the field, dedicated to promoting safe and sustainable practices in the workplace.

Day-4 and 5: Mr. G.S. Baveja

Mr. G. S Baveja is a Mechanical Engineer of 1970 with MBA in Safety Management & Construction Management, with meritorious educational background, having more than 50+ years of professional & management experience.

 

He is a Former Corporate entity Head of Health Safety Security & Environment, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. For six months he underwent a training program at M/s KWU, Siemens Ltd. in West Germany.

 

Mr. Baveja is a qualified “Assessor” for Safety & Sustainability Excellence. He worked with M/s Det Norske Veritas (DNV) as a “Consultant & OHSE Auditor, DNV's Energy-India (Region Asia & Middle East).

 

He serves as “Panel Member” on many Government & non-Governmental committees. He chaired sessions in National & International seminars on varying topics of Safety.


A set of training programs titled “Safe Operating Principles” were designed & conducted for about 260 participants from ORPIC, at Oman.

 

He has conducted more than 300 training programs (70% are in the domain of OHSE) in about 15 countries.  A series of open-house programs are conducted on topics like HIRA, High risk jobs in industries, Fire Challenges in Oil & Gas Sector, Tank Farm Fire & Safety etc.

 

Mr. Baveja has undertaken more than 130 OHSE Audits & Sustainability reviews of plants under the organizations like National Safety Council of India, IRCLASS systems & Services Ltd., and other MNC consultants like KPMG Ltd., SGS Ltd., DNV GL Ltd, Bureau Veritas India, etc.

 

He presented papers in both domestic and international conferences and fora.
